On December 5, Yutong officially released a business report, which shows that the bus maker produced 36,509 units buses and sold 35,206 units buses from January to November this year, up by 2.65% and 0.45% year on year respectively.

In November, Yutong’s IOV Digital Fleet Management System won 2021 Red Dot Brand & Communication Design Award, making the bus maker the first one in China’s bus industry to win such a highly coveted prize. Before this, Yutong intelligent mini-bus has also won the Red Dot Design Award.

On November 26, at the awarding ceremony of the 12th Golden Flag Award (2021), Yutong Bus Social Media Operation won the golden award for marketing on social media. In addition, Yutong’s new energy bus R&D team was recognized by Chinese government as an Outstanding Professional Team in China. According to Yutong, the team has 22 bus experts, 40 engineers with the doctor’s degree and over 500 highly skilled technicians.

In 2010, Yutong officially launched its Internet of Vehicle (IOV) project. Since then, it has made a number of technological breakthroughs. So far, it has obtained over 90 patents in the field with its IOV technologies applied on over 300,000 units vehicles.

To help cities across the globe to fight against global warming and cut carbon emissions, Yutong has developed a wide spectrum of new energy buses measuring from six-meter to 18-meter in length with hybrid plug-in, electric and hydrogen fuel cell drivelines. In addition, it has accumulated rich experience in such key areas as power batteries, electric motors, electric controls, recharging/hydrogen refills and electric accessories. So far, its sales volume of new energy buses has exceeded 150,000 units, ranking the first place among all bus makers in the industry.
