March 23, 2023, Shanghai, China, Recently, Sany Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sany Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangtai Hydrogen Energy Technology to build the first 2000KG hydrogen refueling station in Shanghai.

According to the agreement, Sany Hydrogen Energy will build a 2000KG hydrogen refueling station in Qingpu District, Shanghai in response to Guangtai Hydrogen Energy's logistics vehicle operation layout and hydrogen refueling energy demand based on its strong technical advantages, and plans to build 3 advanced hydrogen refueling stations in East and South China. In addition, the two parties also plan to start a comprehensive and long-term strategic cooperation in the construction of hydrogen production and refueling integrated stations, the operation of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and the exploration and development of heavy equipment application scenarios such as mines, docks, and engineering construction.

According to reports, the hydrogen refueling station will be the first 2000KG hydrogen refueling station in Shanghai. It is planned to be equipped with three 35MPa dual-metering hydrogen refueling machines, with an average hydrogen refueling speed of 2KG/min. After completion, it can meet the needs of Guangtai Hydrogen Energy for 300 units of different tonnages. The hydrogen refueling service for logistics vehicles will help it develop its cold chain logistics business in the Yangtze River Delta region in the future.

At the same time, the explosion-proof level of the hydrogen refueling station reaches IIC T4 level. It will have functions such as automatic control of the hydrogen refueling process, hydrogen leak detection, alarm and shutdown.

As early as 2020, the world's first hydrogen fuel cell mixer truck and Sany's first hydrogen fuel cell dump truck rolled off the assembly line at the "Lighthouse Factory" in Shaoyang, marking that Sany has officially entered the "hydrogen era".

In 2022, Sany built Hunan's first hydrogen production and refueling integrated station in Changsha. At the same time, the first batch of hydrogen fuel heavy trucks rolled off the assembly line and delivered to Yueyang, Hunan. It is the first in the industry to deploy "green production-storage-transportation-filling equipment" for hydrogen energy.

"Sany plans to develop into the largest domestic and world-leading overall hydrogen energy solution provider in five years," said Rao Hongyu, general manager of Sany Hydrogen Energy, adding that in the future, Sany Hydrogen Energy will focus on improving core capabilities and realize a full ecology in the closed loop of the industrial chain to help realize China's "3060" double carbon goals.
