October 9, 2023, Malawi, From September 11th to the 20th, Hunan Province Vice Governor and Head of the Provincial Public Security Department, Wang Yiou, led a Hunan delegation to visit Malawi, Madagascar, and Myanmar. During this visit, they aimed to solidify the achievements of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, enhance traditional friendships, expand economic and trade cooperation, and deepen law enforcement exchanges. During the visit, Wang Yiou presented an excavator donated by Sany Group to Malawian President Chakwera. He also held meetings and discussions with the Malawi Police Inspector General Yoram and Ministers of Mines and Strategic Resources in Madagascar, Rakotomalala, as well as Ministers of Public Safety in Madagascar, Randrianiarison. Wang Yiou stated that this visit would further promote the implementation of the cooperation agreements reached between China and these three countries' leaderships, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and contribute to the development of their bilateral relationships to a higher level.

During separate meetings with the law enforcement agencies of the three countries, Wang Yiou emphasized the need for strengthening regional law enforcement cooperation mechanisms within the framework of existing law enforcement security cooperation agreements between nations. This cooperation aims to jointly combat transnational criminal activities. The law enforcement agencies of the three countries all expressed their commitment to enhancing the security protection of Chinese enterprises and their personnel, including those from Hunan. They also pledged to increase efforts to combat illegal activities involving Chinese citizens, thereby creating a secure and stable business environment for investors.
