AMMAN, Jordan [chinaevs.org] — Chinese automaker Hongqi introduced two new electric vehicles, the EH7 and the E-HS7 (also known as Tiangong 08), at a May 18 event in Amman, marking an expansion of its electric vehicle offerings in the Middle East.
The launch follows the earlier entry of Hongqi’s flagship electric SUV, the E-HS9, into the Jordanian market. With the new models, the company aims to broaden its product range and appeal to different customer groups.
More than 300 guests, including media representatives, automotive bloggers, social media influencers, and VIP customers, attended the event. The presentation featured interactive exhibits and a light show showcasing the design and technology of the new vehicles.
The EH7 is designed for business users, while the Tiangong 08 targets families. These models fill a market segment below the larger E-HS9, offering more options in terms of size and price.
Hongqi ranked fourth in luxury vehicle sales in Jordan in May. The new launches are expected to strengthen the brand’s market position and accelerate its expansion in the region, reflecting growing interest in electric vehicles across the Middle East.
