On June 10, 2025, Chinese automaker JAC launched its RF8 global model and held a delivery ceremony for its first batch of vehicles headed overseas at Paihe Port in Hefei.
The RF8, a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) developed in collaboration with Huawei, was designed using Huawei’s Integrated Product Development (IPD) system. The process focused on real-world user scenarios, from research and product definition to testing and final delivery.
Built on the MUSE platform—China’s first MPV-dedicated architecture—the RF8 supports both internal combustion and electric powertrains. It is intended for both family and commercial use, aiming to meet diverse market demands.
To ensure performance across global markets, JAC conducted extensive testing in extreme environments, including sub-zero conditions in Eurasia, high temperatures in the Gulf, and high-altitude terrain in Latin America.
The ceremony also marked the delivery of the first RF8 units to Latin America, a key market in JAC’s international strategy. The company has developed a localized supply chain and service network in the region, where it has established a growing customer base.
JAC said the RF8’s international rollout represents a step forward in the company’s efforts to expand its global footprint. The automaker plans to continue developing vehicles tailored to regional needs and operating conditions.
