Chinese automaker Hongqi unveiled a range of new vehicles for the Czech and Slovak markets at a media event in Bratislava on June 26, marking a broader push into Central and Eastern Europe.

The launch featured six models, including both internal combustion and electric vehicles: the H5, HS3, HS5, EH7, EHS7, and EHS9. The new offerings are designed to appeal to regional consumers seeking luxury features, modern design, and advanced technologies.

The event, held at the Refinery Gallery in Slovakia’s capital, attracted local media, auto industry influencers, and content creators. Guests were invited to view the vehicles and test drive both the fuel-powered and electric models.

The new lineup reflects Hongqi’s effort to blend its “Oriental luxury” design concept with the minimalist industrial aesthetic favored by many European drivers. The company said it aims to meet local expectations for comfort, performance, and smart features.

Hongqi’s move into the Czech and Slovak markets follows its earlier entry into Poland. The brand’s growing footprint in Southeastern Europe is part of a broader strategy to increase global awareness of Chinese luxury automotive brands.

The company said it plans to continue expanding across the region, offering a mix of conventional and electric vehicles tailored to the needs of diverse markets.
