Huang highlighted Skwell’s experience in new energy vehicles, core components, and smart transport solutions. He also noted Africa’s significant potential for green power and new energy projects, which could benefit Skyworth Auto’s commercial and passenger vehicle lines, as well as integrated solar-storage-charging stations.
President Mnangagwa welcomed the talks, emphasizing that energy transition and efficiency improvements are critical priorities for Zimbabwe. He said the two sides share a common vision for green energy, and the partnership could help advance the country’s strategic objectives.
The meeting marks a step in Skwell’s expansion into the African market. Under the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, the company plans to leverage its technology and market expertise to provide new energy solutions and support Zimbabwe’s sustainable development.
