Sinotruk Rolls Out First Locally Assembled Truck in the Philippines

2025/09/10 Trucks
On September 5, Sinotruk reached a major milestone as the first truck came off the production line at its assembly plant in Davao, Philippines. The brand-new vehicle, with its robust design, showcases Sinotruk’s advanced technology and manufacturing strength.

The rollout was witnessed by both Chinese and Filipino teams, celebrating the results of close cooperation and joint effort. Guided by the principle of “rooted locally, serving the market,” Sinotruk’s Philippines KD team overcame multiple challenges, coordinated resources from China and abroad, maintained strict quality control, and worked hand in hand with local dealers to bring the plant to life.

The facility now assembles truck chassis locally and manufactures truck bodies in the Philippines. This provides dealers with more supply options while also cutting delivery times for customers.

With local production in place, Sinotruk has greatly enhanced its ability to respond to market needs and deliver vehicles faster in the Philippines. The move also underscores the company’s commitment to global expansion and stronger local partnerships. It marks an important step forward in Sinotruk’s localization strategy in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.
