According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in December 2025, China’s overall truck market—including chassis and tractor trucks—sold 361,000 units, up 7% from November and 17% year-on-year. Mini trucks accounted for 45,000 units, marking a 25% increase compared with both November and December 2024. This represented six consecutive months of year-on-year growth, outperforming the overall truck market, which grew 17% in December.
Looking at historical trends, December mini truck sales over the past five years have followed a “down-down-up-down-up” pattern. December 2025’s 45,000 units ranked third in this period, about 18,000 units below the December 2023 peak, but nearly 9,000 units above December 2024.
December sales were concentrated among eight manufacturers. Five companies reported year-on-year growth, led by Wuling and FARIZON at 73%, Changan at 51%, and Foton at 59%. The remaining three companies saw declines, with the largest falling 55%.
