Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on product localization, production coordination, market introduction, and local operations management. Cooperation will be deepened gradually, with market expansion guided by the specific needs of North American and Japanese customers.

The vehicles targeted for these markets are electric light trucks based on WEICHAI NECV’s platform. North American models have completed local certification and are ready for sale, while Japanese models are undergoing certification, expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, paving the way for their launch.
The companies have set phased sales targets. In North America, they aim to deliver approximately 500 vehicles in 2026, starting with pilot operations and key customer programs before broader market expansion. In Japan, initial orders will be fulfilled first, alongside the establishment of distribution and after-sales service networks.

To support local operations, ZO MOTORS has established a KD assembly facility in North America to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness. In Japan, distribution and after-sales networks are being rolled out to ensure smooth operations post-launch.
ZO MOTORS, headquartered in Japan, specializes in zero-emission commercial vehicles for international markets. Its operations cover North America, Japan, and Southeast Asia, and the company has experience delivering new energy commercial vehicles across multiple regions.

With certifications and market introduction underway, the partnership is expected to deepen over the coming years, expanding cooperation in electric light commercial vehicles. This agreement marks a significant step in the companies’ global strategy and is poised to generate new growth in North America and Japan, offering more options for the global new energy logistics and commercial vehicle market.
