January-February 2026: Cumulative Sales Decline Amid Policy Adjustment
For the first two months of 2026, cumulative sales of new energy buses over 6 meters reached 4,506 units, down 17.37% year-on-year. This decline primarily reflects a temporary "policy digestion period" at the beginning of the year, as new rounds of local subsidy policies had not yet fully taken effect, slowing the release of some end-market demand.
Specifically, BYD led the industry with cumulative sales of 776 units, up 5.01% year-on-year and capturing 17.22% market share—demonstrating strong resilience during the industry adjustment period.
Yutong Bus ranked second with 643 units sold, holding 14.27% market share.
King Long Bus placed third with 550 units, up 11.56% year-on-year and accounting for 12.21% market share.
Zhongtong Bus ranked fourth with 401 units, representing 8.90% market share.
Ankai Bus ranked fifth with cumulative sales of 332 units, surging 161.42% year-on-year and holding 7.37% market share.
Among the top ten, only five companies achieved year-on-year growth: Ankai Bus, King Long Bus, BYD, and Golden Dragon Bus.
