China New Energy Buses Export Sales for Feb:BYD, Golden Dragon, Yutong Take Top 3

2026/03/20 Buses
In February 2026, China's exports of new energy buses (over 3.5 meters) reached 1,445 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 53.56% and a month-on-month rise of 16.81%. This performance is particularly impressive given that February 2026 included the longest Spring Festival holiday in history, lasting nine days. Some bus manufacturers did not fully resume operations until after the Lantern Festival (March 3), making the robust export figures even more remarkable and clearly reflecting the sector's unstoppable momentum.

BYD defended its title as the monthly champion in new energy bus exports for February 2026, with 333 units exported and a 23.04% market share. It was the only company to surpass 300 units in monthly new energy bus exports. Notably, BYD has remained China's top new energy bus exporter for three consecutive years since 2023 and also ranked first in January 2026.

Golden Dragon exported 208 new energy buses, climbing from eighth place in January to second. This represents a remarkable year-on-year surge of 395.24% and a month-on-month increase of 407.32%, with a market share of 14.39%.

Yutong Bus exported 195 new energy buses, soaring 248.21% year-on-year and 195.45% month-on-month. It rose from fifth place in January to third, capturing a market share of 13.49%.

Among the top ten companies, at least six recorded year-on-year growth. Chery Wanda achieved the highest year-on-year growth rate—an astonishing 4,950.00%—mainly due to a low base in the same period last year. Following this dramatic surge, its new energy bus exports reached 101 units, securing a 6.99% market share and seventh place. Other companies with year-on-year growth exceeding 100% include Ankai Bus (447.83%), Golden Dragon (395.24%), Yutong Bus (248.21%), and CRRC (154.29%).

Seven companies posted month-on-month growth, with Golden Dragon leading at 407.32%. Companies that more than doubled month-on-month include Skywell at 348.15%, Yutong Bus (195.45%), and CRRC (154.29%).

At least five companies achieved double growth in both year-on-year and month-on-month comparisons, including Golden Dragon, Yutong Bus, and CRRC.
