The delivery ceremony was held on May 29 and marks one of the largest new energy truck deployment programs in Southwest China this year. The project is expected to support the region's transition toward lower-emission freight transportation while accelerating the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in large-scale logistics operations.
Representatives from local government agencies, industrial park authorities, logistics companies, energy providers, and vehicle industry partners attended the event. Participating organizations included Yunnan Jiaotou New Energy, Yunnan Times New Energy (CATL), Yuanduo Logistics, Yuxi Xinxing Steel, Jingchong New Energy, and other industry stakeholders.
During the ceremony, attendees discussed the growing role of electric heavy trucks in freight transportation, the importance of charging and energy infrastructure, and opportunities for closer cooperation across the commercial vehicle supply chain.
In addition to the vehicle handover, the event featured partnership signing activities, fleet launch ceremonies, business discussions, and vehicle displays.

The 1,000-truck program represents a joint effort involving vehicle manufacturers, logistics operators, financial service providers, battery suppliers, and local authorities. The deployment is expected to contribute to the modernization of regional freight fleets while supporting the wider adoption of zero-emission transport solutions.
For Skyworth Auto, the project is part of its broader strategy to expand its presence in the electric heavy-duty truck market. The company said it plans to continue working with logistics operators, infrastructure partners, and local governments to support the development of integrated electric freight transportation ecosystems.

As electric truck adoption continues to grow across China, large-scale fleet deployments such as the Yuxi project are expected to play an increasingly important role in demonstrating the commercial viability of zero-emission freight transport in regional logistics networks.
