BAIC FOTON has opened a new showroom in Yangon, Myanmar, as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in the country's commercial vehicle market.

The facility was officially inaugurated on May 30 and coincided with the launch of the company's TM Series and Miler Series light commercial vehicles in Myanmar. BAIC FOTON also announced a new partnership with local business partners to support its market development plans.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ouyang Daobing, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, former Myanmar Vice President Sai Mauk Kham, local business representatives, dealer partners, and members of BAIC FOTON's Myanmar-Laos-Cambodia regional team.

Myanmar's automotive sector has faced challenging market conditions in recent years, but BAIC FOTON continues to see growth potential in the country's transportation and logistics industries. The company said its latest investment reflects its long-term commitment to the market and its strategy of expanding localized operations.

According to BAIC FOTON, extensive market research and customer feedback have helped shape its product and service offerings in Myanmar. The new showroom is expected to serve as a hub for vehicle sales, customer support, and brand development activities.

During the event, former Vice President Sai Mauk Kham said that the introduction of commercial vehicles offering a balance of quality, practicality, and affordability could help address transportation needs across the country while supporting economic and logistics development.

BAIC FOTON showcased its TM Series and Miler Series models during the opening ceremony.

The Miler Series, making its debut in Myanmar, has been developed for urban distribution and short-haul logistics applications. The vehicle is designed to offer operational efficiency, maneuverability, and cost-effective performance, targeting fleet operators and small business users.

The Yangon showroom forms part of BAIC FOTON's broader strategy to expand its commercial vehicle footprint in Southeast Asia. The company plans to further develop its local sales network, after-sales services, and spare parts supply capabilities in Myanmar.

By strengthening its local support infrastructure alongside product availability, BAIC FOTON aims to provide customers with a more comprehensive ownership experience while supporting the continued development of Myanmar's transportation and logistics sectors.
