The fleet, consisting of dozens of XCMG 400 kWh electric tractor trucks, operates in challenging conditions that include temperatures reaching 40°C, heavy dust, uneven roads, and frequent stop-and-go transport cycles. Such conditions typically place significant demands on vehicle durability, powertrain reliability, and overall operational performance.
To address these challenges, XCMG developed the vehicles with enhanced environmental protection and thermal management systems. The battery, motor, and electronic control systems meet IP68 protection standards, while key powertrain components are also rated to IP6K9K, providing additional resistance to dust, water, and harsh operating conditions.

The trucks are equipped with XCMG's fully liquid-cooled electric powertrain, which incorporates a water-cooled motor and water-cooled transmission. The system is designed to maintain stable operating temperatures under heavy workloads and high ambient temperatures, helping ensure consistent vehicle performance throughout daily operations.
Beyond reliability, the electric trucks have delivered measurable economic benefits for fleet operators.
According to operational results from the project, energy costs are approximately 40% of those associated with comparable diesel-powered heavy trucks. A single charge is sufficient to support a full day of transportation work within the plant and surrounding areas. Regenerative braking technology further improves energy efficiency by recovering energy during vehicle deceleration and downhill operation.
The simplified architecture of the electric platform has also reduced maintenance requirements. Compared with conventional diesel trucks, the number of wear-prone components has been reduced by around 70%, while maintenance intervals have been extended by roughly three times. The elimination of engine oil, filters, and other routine consumables has helped further lower total operating costs, particularly in markets where spare parts and maintenance expenses remain relatively high.
To support fleet performance, XCMG provides a comprehensive after-sales support package that includes on-site technical services, vehicle inspections before delivery, and driver training programs.

The company has also deployed its upgraded e-Lutong fleet management platform, enabling customers to improve dispatching, monitor vehicle performance, and analyze operational data through digital fleet management tools.
According to the customer, the XCMG electric trucks have not only reduced transportation costs but have also demonstrated the viability of low-carbon logistics solutions for future operations.
The vehicles are now playing a key role in local cement transportation activities. Through a combination of operational reliability, lower ownership costs, and integrated service support, XCMG is helping advance the adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks in Guinea while supporting the broader development of sustainable logistics solutions across the African market.
