New energy bus exports posted both year-on-year and month-on-month growth in August 2026.
Major bus makers shipped a total of 2,132 new energy buses this month, a year-on-year jump of 37.99% and a month-on-month increase of 17.08%.
The biggest highlight of the month is undoubtedly CRRC Electric. It exported 623 buses, soaring 376% year-on-year to claim the monthly top spot.
BYD took second place with shipments exceeding 500 units, up 48%. Yutong Bus ranked third with 312 exported new energy buses.

CRRC makes remarkable progress
From January to August 2026, 21 leading Chinese bus manufacturers recorded cumulative new energy bus exports of 14,034 units, rising 27.12% year-on-year. Eight out of the top ten enterprises achieved positive growth.
BYD remains the industry leader with cumulative new energy bus exports exceeding 3,000 units. Yutong secured second place with 2,318 units, and Golden Dragon stayed in third.
Higer Bus overtook Ankai Bus to rank fourth this month, with a narrow lead of only two units. King Long Bus followed closely with nearly 1,000 exported units.
