The journalists toured FOTON’s vehicle exhibition area, technology and ecosystem exhibition hall, and global bus manufacturing center. The exhibits included heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, buses and new energy vehicles, while the factory tour gave visitors a closer look at FOTON’s manufacturing processes and vehicle development capabilities.
During a discussion with company representatives, the journalists raised questions about FOTON’s international strategy and product development. Reporters from Latin America asked about the company’s priorities in key markets, while journalists from Central and Eastern Europe wanted to know more about plans for introducing new energy vehicles. Representatives from Pacific island nations also asked how FOTON adapts its products to local climates and road conditions.

BAIC FOTON said it is continuing to focus on three areas: international expansion, new energy and intelligent technologies.
The company’s products are now sold in more than 140 countries and regions, with cumulative sales exceeding 13 million units. FOTON has also ranked first in China in commercial vehicle exports for 15 consecutive years, according to the company.
Looking ahead, FOTON plans to strengthen localized manufacturing and deepen its operations in overseas markets. This includes developing vehicles suited to different climates, road conditions and customer needs, as well as providing solutions to support the shift toward greener transport.

Carlos Dario, a journalist from Ecuador, said FOTON’s heavy-duty trucks are well received in his country and offer practical solutions for local green development. He also noted that advances in Chinese automotive technology can bring value to international partners.
The visit highlighted how Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturers are combining product development, manufacturing capabilities and overseas market expansion. For BAIC FOTON, the next step is to build on these capabilities and strengthen its presence in international markets with smarter, more environmentally friendly commercial vehicles.
