The exhibits will cover connected vehicles, powertrains, intelligent chassis systems, electric drive systems and vehicle thermal management. They will highlight Chery Commercial Vehicles’ latest work in new energy and intelligent technologies, as well as its plans for global markets.
RELY Aims to Expand the Role of Pickups
Pickups are no longer used only for work and transport. They are increasingly designed for a wider range of work and everyday needs, with more powertrain options available to meet different customer requirements.
At the conference, Chery Commercial Vehicles will present the development of RELY, its global smart pickup brand. The brand aims to meet the needs of customers in different markets through intelligent technology and vehicles designed for a range of uses.
While exploring new products and technologies, the company will continue to focus on safety, reliability and quality. Supported by Chery Group’s strategy of bringing passenger-car and commercial-vehicle technologies together, as well as its FSCV Future Super Commercial Vehicle technology platform, Chery Commercial Vehicles aims to improve pickup intelligence, safety and performance in different operating conditions.
RELY Hi800: The World’s First Diesel Plug-in Hybrid Pickup
One of the key exhibits will be the RELY Hi800, which Chery describes as the world’s first diesel plug-in hybrid pickup.
The vehicle combines a 2.5-liter diesel engine developed for hybrid applications with an electric motor. It uses a P1+P2.5 hybrid architecture with a mechanically coupled powertrain.

The engine has a thermal efficiency of 47%, while the system delivers a combined peak torque of more than 800 N·m.
By combining diesel power with electric drive technology, the RELY Hi800 offers a new approach to reducing emissions from diesel pickups and shows Chery Commercial Vehicles’ progress in hybrid technology.
New Technologies Across Vehicles and Key Components
In addition to the RELY Hi800, Chery Commercial Vehicles will display technologies covering both complete vehicles and key components.
These include connected vehicles and digital diagnostics, connected vehicle services, traction battery safety alerts, powertrains and hybrid platforms, intelligent chassis systems, electric drive systems, domain controllers and vehicle thermal management.
Together, these technologies cover key vehicle systems, from powertrains to intelligent controls, and from hardware to software. They reflect the company’s efforts to develop both complete vehicles and core components.
Chery Commercial Vehicles will also draw on Chery Group’s experience in electrification and intelligent technologies for passenger cars to support the development of commercial vehicles. Its goal is to provide greener and smarter transport solutions for customers worldwide.
Expanding Global Markets Through Local Partnerships
Chery Commercial Vehicles’ new energy strategy goes beyond products and technology. The company is also working to expand its presence in overseas markets and build local operations.

Guided by its global strategy, “In somewhere, For somewhere, Be somewhere,” the company is accelerating its expansion into key markets and working with local partners to develop systems covering research and development, production and services.
From vehicles and green energy solutions to smart logistics and services throughout a vehicle’s life cycle, Chery Commercial Vehicles aims to provide solutions for a wide range of customer needs.
The RELY Hi800 and other technology exhibits at the conference will highlight the company’s latest progress in new energy, intelligent technology and global expansion.
The 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference will take place in Wuhu, Anhui, on October 20. The event will offer a closer look at Chery Commercial Vehicles’ latest products and technologies, including the RELY Hi800 and its approach to the future of pickup trucks.
