Hongqi has appointed Hongqi Egypt S.A.E. as its official authorized dealer in Egypt. The two sides signed the dealer agreement recently in Changchun, China, along with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a potential order of 1,500 vehicles.

The partnership marks another step in Hongqi’s expansion in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Xiao Xiao, general manager of FAW Import & Export, welcomed the Egyptian partner and said the two sides would work together to develop the local premium car market. Hongqi will support its dealer in building its local business, expanding its sales network and promoting the brand in the region.

At the meeting, Hongqi Egypt S.A.E. shared its plans for Hongqi vehicle sales and marketing in Egypt over the next three years. Both sides also discussed the possibility of local vehicle assembly through KD production and agreed on next steps for developing the business.

The MOU for 1,500 vehicles reflects the Egyptian partner’s confidence in Hongqi’s products and its prospects in the local market. The two sides will now work to develop sales, brand promotion, customer service and local production in Egypt, using their respective resources to support the brand’s growth in the market.
