SHACMAN Raises Next Year's Export Target

2026/10/21 SPVs
The 2026 SHACMAN Global Partner Conference & Carnival Exhibition kicked off in Xi'an on October 15–16. Tian Chao, General Manager of SHACMAN Import & Export, delivered the Global Market Report, noting that beyond heavy-duty trucks, SHACMAN's overseas product portfolio is expanding rapidly.
How will SHACMAN map out its business to meet differentiated demands across global markets in the coming years?

Heavy-Duty Truck Upgrade: 6000 Series Takes the Lead

Regarding overseas product planning, Tian Chao noted: "Heavy-duty trucks remain the core of our business. We will accelerate the transition from the 3000 Series to the 6000 Series, covering all application scenarios." More than 10,000 units of the 6000 Series are already operating in over 40 countries. "The 6000 Series will be our flagship overseas product going forward."

According to Tian, this upgrade is far more than a model refresh — it represents a full restructuring of the product lineup. "The 6000 Series will serve every scenario, from logistics tractors to tippers, for standard and heavy loads alike. We will deliver complete vehicle solutions tailored to diverse markets and operating conditions."

The SHACMAN Carnival Exhibition features six regional pavilions: Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Americas, Russia & Central Asia, Europe and Africa. Two models targeting the EU market are highlighted in the Europe zone: the X6000 4×2 AMT tractor, EU WVTA-certified and compliant with GSR2 safety regulations, and the X6000e 4×2 battery-electric tractor, equipped with a 760 kWh LFP battery and offering a range of over 650 km.

The heavy-duty powertrain is also being upgraded. Tian Chao said SHACMAN will introduce more powertrain options for overseas markets, including Xi'an Cummins M10 and M13 engines. Weichai's WP10, WP12 and WP13 engines will complete their upgrades by the end of 2026, improving fuel efficiency by more than 4%. For overseas operators, fuel efficiency directly affects running costs — a 4% improvement translates into tangible savings.

Medium & Light Trucks Added; Mining and Special Vehicles Further Exploited

Alongside the heavy-duty truck upgrade, SHACMAN will complete its export lineup of medium and light trucks while deepening its presence in the mining and special-purpose vehicle segments.
Tian Chao explained that the overseas medium and light truck range will cover GVWs from 8 to 25 tonnes, available in diesel and battery-electric variants with left- and right-hand drive options. "We have launched over 40 medium and light truck models this year and will roll out more than 50 new models before the end of 2026."
"We invite our partners to invest more in researching the medium and light truck segment and to feed back real customer demands to help us refine our products," Tian Chao said. Partner insights can shape the next best-selling model and unlock new growth for both sides — a strategy that reflects SHACMAN's willingness to let frontline stakeholders help define its products.

Mining and special vehicles are a traditional strength of SHACMAN. The company boasts 60 years of experience in developing and manufacturing mining engines, and its matched powertrain and axle solutions hold a 90% share of China's mining truck market. The mining engines come in diesel and electric versions, suited for 40–135 tonne mining trucks operating in harsh mine environments.

In the New Energy Pavilion of Hall 2, SHACMAN showcased an electric mining truck with L4 autonomous driving capability. Tian Chao confirmed that SHACMAN has achieved mass production of L4 autonomous driving chassis in China, building a customisable platform compatible with diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid powertrains to meet varied operational needs. "To date, SHACMAN has delivered over 1,200 autonomous vehicles worldwide."

New Energy Exports: Strong Business Cases Speak for Themselves

New energy vehicles were a major focus of Tian Chao's presentation. Rather than simply listing technical specifications, he shared two overseas operational success stories.

A client in Kazakhstan faced high diesel costs at remote mine sites and trialled eight SHACMAN X5000E electric heavy trucks. Between September 20 and October 10, each electric unit logged more than 3,200 km at very low energy costs. The client subsequently placed a follow-up order for 151 electric heavy trucks, including tippers and tractors.

A hybrid mining truck project in Indonesia also delivered impressive economic results. Starting in December 2025, six 12-metre SHACMAN hybrid mining trucks were deployed at an Indonesian mine for testing. By August 2026, after 18 months of trials, the fleet had covered over 200,000 km with no external recharging required. Fuel consumption was 23%–35% lower than that of diesel equivalents, saving around USD 60,000 per vehicle annually. Following the exhibition, the client placed a follow-up order for more than 500 units.
